Every Memorial Day Weekend, a group of my girlfriends and I get together to enjoy each other and to escape our professional lives. The “Girlfriend Getaway” concept was born May 2007 on the island of St. Thomas and the tradition continues! In 2008 and with the help of Almeda Travel, we escaped to Aruba and stayed at the all-inclusive Occidental Hotel. Our trip included everything from amazing spa services, couture shopping and nightly dancing. We even squeezed in time for midnight girl-talks and a concert with Erykah Badu! The weather was so perfect in Aruba that the majority of our trip was spent outside lying on pristine beaches with cocktails in hand! Almeda Travel made our trip completely worry-free and convenient. In January, we deposited $150 each for our trip and made monthly installments until 45 days before our departure. We didn’t have the headache or inconvenience of paying a lump sum amount up front either. The price of our trip included hotel, airfare, and ground transfers to and from the airport.
