Traditional weddings are no doubt fun, but are also expensive, difficult, time consuming and tedious. These are a few of the reasons why Jay and Jonetta Jackson decided to elope. Eloping allowed them to relish the moment just between the two of them minus the hassle. Not only did they have a wedding, but they were also able to combine it with their honeymoon. “For our wedding, we wanted to keep it very simple and intimate. We had our official U.S. ceremony at my sister’s house, who happens to be a judge, then we were off to Jamaica.” said Jay Jackson. For the symbolic ceremony, the Jackson’s chose Montego Bay, Jamaica as their destination. “We informed our Almeda Travel representative that we wanted to go somewhere we had never been before, a locations that’s very scenic for wedding pictures, but most importantly somewhere romantic. He suggested that we travel to Jamaica and stay at the Iberostar Grand Hotel Rose Hall.”
“The Ibeorstar Grand was very beautiful and it was nothing like anything that we experienced before. The hotel has everything in one location....a one stop shop. We didn’t have to leave for food nor entertainment, as the hotel had it all. We are big fans of reggae music and loved how the hotel had a party every night. Besides partying it was the perfect location for romance, as we laid on the beach with a bottle of champagne while the music played in the background. It was fabulous!” When Jay was asked if he would visit the Iberostar for an anniversary celebration he said this, “I recommend this hotel to all couples, especially as a honeymoon location.
